Myanmar
We are so happy to tell you that baby David has had a second successful surgery for his bilateral cleft palate. He will not need further surgery until he is about six years old. The Lord worked the surgery out as only He can. David was able to have surgery in Myanmar by a surgeon who is an expert in cleft palate revision! They did not have to travel to Thailand again.

The Grace Home Family
We have exciting news for the Grace home. The new home construction is nearly finished. We are hoping the “family” can move in at the end of March. I am asking them for a list of furnishings that they will need for the living areas and the kitchen. Beds are top on the list. Our VBS Project this year is “Sweet Dreams”. Through this we are hoping to provide beds for many children in our care who have not previously had beds. We also want to provide new, warm bedding, mosquito nets, solar-powered flashlights and pillows.
Provide Sweet Dreams for our BCH children this year. Our 2023 VBS Mission Project will provide bedtime necessities for the physical and spiritual well-being of the children in care. Click the Sweet Dreams logo for more!
Zambia
Our two “Granny Home Families” are doing so well. They are enjoying the care we are providing and are living more peaceful lives.  Pictured below are some of the children living in our Granny Homes.

Our Zambian Partner Rachel writes: “I have an update on China, (the little boy I wrote about last month.) China (age 4) came to live with his grandmother Jeni after Christmas. This was not his choice. He had been living with his mother and other grandmother in the village. They dropped him off for a “medical review,” but did not explain to him that he would not return. Even Jeni didn’t seem to know it was a permanent “drop.” The first weeks here, he would say: “I want to go back.” It was the only familiar place he knew. Now, a couple months later, China no longer talks of going back. In fact, he said he doesn’t want to return. His physical features are filling out. He now has strong shoes, two pairs of trousers and two shirts without holes in them.”
China faces big challenges. He walks with a heavy limp, and often falls because his leg gives out. China needs prayer. Because BCH has been willing to support him staying with his siblings, he is now feeling the reality of his OWN family. He feels a sense of security as his siblings have surrounded him and assured him of their genuine love. China is experiencing family for the first time in his remembrance: both church family and his sweet brothers and sister. The siblings’ love is obvious. All are improving in reading now, and in confidence at school. All this is because of the sweet provisions of God for them through Baptist Children’s Home. You are all an answer to prayers!”
Please pray for China.
Haiti and Dominican Republic
More exciting news! We have added two new homes for children. We learned of nine children in great need and decided to open two additional homes for them. The foster parents and the children rejoiced when we decided to care for them. The foster parents are pastors’ homes. On the phone the other day they said they know of 1,000 children who need our care! Life for many children is so difficult and dangerous in Haiti and the Dr. We currently have 50 children in care. We are eager to grow this number as the Lord directs.
Christy in DR
From our partners in The Dominican Republic: “This is Christy (video above). Here is the translation of her video. She thanks you so much for the support you have started to give to her. When she becomes an adult, she would like to complete her study and go to the university. After that, accomplish her dreams and live her life with joy. At the end she said may the Lord bless you.”
Our Trauma Ministry team, BCH Cares, is excited to be providing trauma training to churches and camps in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, New York, and even South Dakota. Our trainings are virtual and in-person. This is meeting such a vital need to help our church families become trauma aware.
Next month we will share some very exciting news about BCH Cares. Stay tuned!
The LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion”
