Â

To Our Praying Friends,

Â

Thank you for your faithful prayers! In our previous Prayer Letter, we wrote: “Praise the Lord – JUSTIN, SOO & FERNANDA have all become Christians over the past few months!”

Â

Regarding Justin, he’s been sharing the Gospel with his sister; JASMINE is a medical student at Vanderbilt U in Nashville.Â

Â

Regarding Fernanda (from Brazil), Nancy is continuing to disciple her. Fernanda’s husband, JOSE, frequently listens to Nancy’s & Fernanda’s Bible Studies.

Â

Regarding Soo (from Korea), she Zooms with our church every Sunday. On Mondays, Nancy briefly overviews our pastor’s Christ-centered message & then teaches a Bible study to Soo & her daughters, NOORI & GOWN. Gown & her dad, JUN, aren’t Christians. However, Soo recently emailed us, “Noori now believes in Jesus!” (In the attached pic, Noori is the taller sister.)

For a couple weeks, Nancy has been teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) to SOYOUNG KA. (She’s also from Korea & is a friend of Soo’s.) Soyoung’s older sister, VICTORIA, lives in Alabama, & Nancy is also helping her learn English at the same time (via Zoom). Last week, Soo told Nancy that Soyoung Ka & Victoria were Christians. However, when Nancy asked them when they became Christians, both of them replied, “We were born into a Christian home & have always been Christians.” Nancy then told them when & how she became a Christian.

Â

This past Sunday, Soyoung Ka & her husband, JUCHAN, (who came to the U.S. a month ago), attended our church (along with Soo & her daughters). Please pray that God will work in their lives.Â

Â

At the beginning of this semester, we posted 17 fliers that advertised our 3 English Classes (via Zoom). Please pray for open hearts & witnessing opportunities for students who attend: YOUSSEF & SANA (from Pakistan), JUN, CICY, CASSIE & LEA (from China), ANJU (from India) NORA (from Egypt), Soo (above) & SOYOUNG (not the same as Soyoung Ka above). A year ago, after our English Class, we ate at Panera Bread  with Soyoung (a quasi-Catholic from Korea) – as well as AFNAN (a Muslim from Saudi Arabia) & ZRULDYZ (a quasi-Muslim from Kazakhstan). We shared the Gospel with them. Soyoung also heard the Gospel at our Christmas party a year ago.Â

Â

In previous Prayer Letters, we’ve asked you to pray for EPHON who is a 3rd year physics student at CU. He’s not a Christian, though his parents, OLIVER & MAPLE, are Christians. When they were “Visiting Scholars” at CU for a year, they brought probably 30 non-Christians to our Bible studies (including Cassie who I mentioned in the previous paragraph). Now they’re back in China where they participate in a Bible Study. Understandably, they’re very burdened for their only child to be saved. Ephon & I frequently text. When the weather gets warmer, we’re hoping to go to some car shows together.

Â

This week, students are beginning to move into the dorms. I hope to learn more about CU’s latest Covid policies, today, as I have a Bible study with ROBERT who works at CU. A few weeks ago, Robert’s mom passed away, & Robert asked me to officiate at his mom’s funeral. I briefly narrated how Jesus audaciously claimed, “I am the resurrection & the life,” &, soon thereafter, raised Lazarus from the dead! “Do you believe this?” (John 11:26). Robert’s wife, (CONNIE), children & their spouses are all unsaved. Connie wants Robert to throw away his Bible.

Â

Your effective, fervent prayers avail much (James 5:16)!

P.S. (For our supporting pastors), I’m attaching a recent prayer that I recently prayed at our church. My pastor recommended the (10) categories, & I’ve used it as a template for several years.

I’m also attaching a “Ministries Opportunities” that our church has used for several years.
