Dear Prayer Partner,                        March 3, 2021

One hundred twenty five years have gone by since the last polar vortex forced an arctic invasion in our area of Texas!  Texans were impacted greatly as we lost electricity for 4 days and temps dropped to -1 in Katy and stayed in the teens and 20s (with ice and snow on the ground).  Many lost gas and water also and were traumatized!  We opened our home to our church people and even some neighbors if they needed shelter by our gas fireplace; where we camped out.  We are truly thankful that we have a gas stove to cook upon and a deep freezer in the garage that never defrosted during the power outage and thankful that our water pipes didn’t burst as they did for about 50% of those we know!  Seeing the piles of debris in front of people’s homes is heartbreaking and bringing back awful memories from Hurricane Harvey.

But guess what?!  Read Jeremiah 29:11. A dear family who was scheduled to bring us a church piano from NC arrived just 2 days after the power came back on.  They asked if they could bring us any essentials as they heard milk, bread, water, etc. were hard to find on store shelves.  This family of 7 took the initiative and brought 2 tons of bottled water in their trailer!! What a blessing!!  The church held an event where the water was handed out to the community, our church family and their relatives/friends!  You could hear the gratefulness in people’s voices as they pulled up in their vehicles to get their water.  It was essential to us that these families not only receive physical water but Living Water!  Bridge Tracts with our church info and an invitation to visit us came along with the pack of water.  We were able to jot down many names and numbers to keep in touch with these families.  If you like numbers, here’s some stats: families received   1-2 packs of water. Countries families represented: 15 Mexico, 11 Argentina, 8 Venezuela, 8 El Salvador, 5 Africa, 5 USA, 4 Uruguay, 4 Colombia, 3 Peru, 2 Guatemala, 1 Bolivia, 1 Nicaragua, 1 Puerto Rico, 1 India and 1 Russia.  Also, dropped some water off at damaged homes; just a few left over for needy church families.Â

Announcement by the Texas Governor yesterday: Mask mandate will be lifted on March 10th and businesses/churches can operate at 100% capacity; each individual can make their own choices now.  Pray the Harris county judge doesn’t change this. Â

Pray: People will feel comfortable coming back to church in person.  We can schedule a baptism in the coming months.  We can build relationships with the new and old contacts.

Thank you to all who donated to projects and Christmas gifts for our family; you are treasured!  Thank you for praying for our Christmas teen events they were a spiritual success and many tracts were handed out in December!

PROJECT 1: Purchase Sunday School material for children and teens.  PROJECT 2: Purchase a projector and screen that will serve for evangelistical “movie nights”.  PROJECT 3: Church piano purchase $1,500.

Would you partner with us financially?  God is at work here in Harris county.

We treasure each of you and your fervent prayers.  God bless you!
