Joyful June
Greetings from Lima, Peru! Thank you for all your prayers during our recent busy months. Yes, we were able to get to our grandson’s, (Jacob, David’s son) wedding and met our second sweet great granddaughter, Evelyn Jo. We returned to Peru to finish first semester classes in the seminary, and had the joy of watching one of the young ladies accompany on the piano the singing of our last service at Victory Baptist Church. That was one of Evelyn’s dreams that came true.
June 25, we enjoyed, in Lima, the graduation of our youngest granddaughter, (Steve’s) Natalia. Also, we were able to attend the closing of Fetzer Memorial Christian Academy, that we helped begin and that has served many missionary families for 38 years. The era of missionary children’s schools is coming to a close. FMCA was the last MK school with BMM.
Sunday, June 27, we were with the church we started in Lima. They have another young man that will finish the university this year and plans to go to the Bible College in Trujillo next year. The Lord has sent out many young men and women from that church, who are serving the LORD. Continue to pray with us for more pastors for our Peruvian churches.
Thank the Lord for our deacons that continue to lead Victory Baptist Church while we are absent. We are now allowed to have 40% of the congregation in person and look forward to starting evening services in person in July.
The Lord willing, we leave Peru tonight, June 28, at 10:00 for the USA and a four month furlough. We see a great need for helping two daughter churches, when we return to Peru, November 3. Please pray for wisdom to know God’s perfect will.
We look forward to seeing some of you this short furlough.
