To Our Prayer Force,
Praise the Lord – you can quit praying for GOWN to become a Christian! You may remember that Gown’s mom, SOORIN, & Gown’s older sister, NOORi, made professions of faith a few months ago. Recently, while teaching the Bible to the 3 of them, Nancy asked Gown if she believed that Jesus died for her sins & rose from the dead. And Gown replied, “Yes!†Thank you for praying for her! Over the past 2 years, all 3 faithfully attended our church & Bible studies. Sadly, last week, they moved back to Korea. [See attached pic.] Please pray that God will continue to work in their lives, as their husband/dad, JUN, isn’t a Christian.
In our previous prayer letter, we mentioned that Nancy was teaching English to VICTORIA in Alabama via Zoom. Victoria is a young Christian, but her husband isn’t a Christian. However, he’s attending church with Victoria in Korea as they also returned to Korea a couple weeks ago.
Victoria’s sister, SOYOUG, & her husband, TEXAN, & their twins continue to attend our church & Bible studies (via Zoom). We’re sure that they’re Christians.

One of the highlights of Nancy’s week is seeing FERNANDA’s enthusiasm during their weekly Bible Studies. A few months ago, Fernanda made a profession of faith, & now we’re praying for the salvation of her husband, JOSE (from Brazil). During Nancy’s & Fernanda’s Bible study on Zoom, Nancy frequently sees Jose walking around in the background. And Nancy is sure that Jose overhears a lot of what Nancy & Fernanda are talking about.
A couple months ago, a fellow Baptist Mid Missions missionary called me. He had planted a church in Hainan, China, & a daughter of parents who attend that church had moved to CU only 3 days before. So we called CAROLE … & asked her if she would like a ride to our church. She replied, “Yes,†& she’s been attending every Sunday. We’re quite sure that she’s a Christian. [See attached pic.]

God continues to graciously open doors in ways that only God can. For example, last week, one of our former U of Iowa students emailed us, “We have friends here in Temperance, Michigan, with a daughter who will be moving to your area in July to live with her brother. JUSTICE MERCY is not a believer but wants to connect with a church out there.â€Â
This week, we’re participating in our Campus Bible Fellowship business meetings via Zoom. Next week, we’ll travel to Iowa to speak in a supporting church. Then we’ll drive to Cleveland to attend our Team North America / Baptist Mid Missions business sessions. After that, I’ll preach in two supporting churches in Illinois.
When we get home, we’re planning to “live†at the U of Colorado. Because of Covid, this past year was our worst “recruiting†year in 40 years. Spelled out, (whereas we’ve continued to reach out to International students via English Conversation Classes on Zoom), we know 0 (American) sophomores.Â
So, as always, we desperately need your prayers!
Tom & Nancy Miller (U of Colorado in Boulder; Campus Bible Fellowship / Baptist Mid-Missions)
