To Our Prayer Force,

Â

Nancy & I are stoked that 34k “Gen Zers,” (moral relativists who are open minded to inclusion across race, ethnicity, sexual orientation & gender identity), are attending CU!

Â

Last week, as I was setting up our literature table in the Student Union, SYDNEY walked up & said that she had worked at a church over the summer. She said that she was interested in the topics that our literature addressed, & she took several pieces of lit. Later, AUDREY stopped by. She’s a Christian, & she’s interested in a Bible study & church. Later, LEX (a Christian from L.A.) took a pic of our flier that tells when our Bible studies are.

Â

While tabling, I couldn’t refrain from initiating a conversation with ASSAF who was also tabling – for Hillel, the org that reaches out to Jewish students. Assaf told me that he believes, “After we die, we’ll find out who the true God is.” I responded, “I believe that God has revealed to us who He is in the Hebrew Bible. For example, the very first verse in the Bible tells us: ‘God created the heavens & the earth…’. Case in point: We don’t have to wait until we die to find out who God is. We can know who God is in this  life.”

Â

Last Friday night, we shared our [Jesus is the] “Bridge” tract with CAROLE & BRAYDEN.Â

Â

Last Saturday & yesterday, I played basketball at the CU Rec (which has 6 courts) for the first time since the outbreak of Covid. I talked to several students who I knew from before Covid, & I met several new students. I’m praying that God will providentially open doors for me to share the Gospel with many of them.

Â

Last Saturday night, SHANG Li & his wife, CASSIE, & their daughter, REMi, came to our home. [See attached pic.] During dinner, Cassie told us that, a couple years ago, we had explained our “picture” / [Jesus is the] “Bridge” tract with her (though we didn’t remember). I then asked Shang Li if it would be ok with him if I shared the “picture” with him, & he replied, “That’s fine.” So I did briefly.

Â

Nancy is continuing to disciple:Â

1) SOYOUNG & her 2 boys – who are professing Christians from Korea. Tomorrow, Nancy is meeting with Soyoung for coffee.Â

2) FERNANDA (from Brazil) who made a profession of faith a year ago. Recently, at the end of Nancy & Fernanda’s discussion, Fernanda enthusiastically responded, “John 17 is like music to my ears.” Fernanda’s unsaved husband, JOSE, sometimes overhears what they’re talking about on Zoom.Â

3) YING (who became a Christian 2 years ago) & her 2 sons, TONY & PETER. At the end of a recent Bible Study, Peter asked, “After God shut the door of the Ark, could the people do magic to get into the Ark?”

Â

Several days ago, we put up fliers at CU Family Housing which advertised our English class on Zoom. Yesterday, Cassie attended again – along with 3 new students: FABIANA (from Chile), XUEQIAN (from China) & MUSHFIKA (from Bangladesh).

Â

“… God keeps [Nancy & me] occupied with joy in our hearts” (Eccles. 5:20). Thank you for praying for us!Â

Racing to go to our literature table,
