Dear Praying Friends,

It has taken me longer than I was planning to get this update out. God has been faithful to carry us through and give strength in the midst of a lot of things going on. Thank you for praying for us, even if you did not know what has been going on in Neumarkt.

Vacation. We were able to get away the beginning of September. A few days into our vacation, Leslie and I realized how much we needed this break from our house remodel, school, and ever present to do things. It was such a joy to get away and be refreshed with the whole family. While attending a French church on that Sunday, I was personally challenged by the sermon that true encouragement comes from the heart of God and will always be in line with His character. God is so good to us!

School. The kids started school on September 12. Simeon started first grade and is loving school. We now have 6 kids in school in 5 different locations in 2 different towns. It is at times a logistics game to get everyone off and going in the right direction with the right bag and food. Please pray for continued strength for the kids in their classes and for them to be bold witnesses.

McCrocklins. On September 15, our new BMM coworkers arrived in Munich airport. We have been praying for recruits for many years. They are an answer to many prayers. They will be starting their language and cultural adjustment here in Neumarkt and will then see what God has for them. The church is excited to have them. Currently they are living in our guest room. Please pray for them as they look for a place to live. Their oldest daughter started school yesterday and please pray for her as it is a challenge to not speak German and be placed in 8th Grade.

TTZ. Our theological training institute (TTZ) started a new semester on September 15 also. I am teaching dispensationalism this semester. I have 29 students and in total we have 91 participants this semester. God is  blessing and training up the next generation of leaders in our churches. Please pray for a continued excitement amongst the teachers and students.

Church. The church is still in the midst of discord and strife. It has now become a personal attack against me. Please pray for grace in the church and for humility on all sides. A lot of time is spent helping church people to respond Biblically and to help navigate their steps. Please pray.

Car. Our van drinks a lot of oil. We have been aware of it for a while and are in need of a new engine. We have a friend who will be doing the work for us to replace it. It is humbling to see how God is working out all details for this repair. Please pray for the details to continue to line up and for a replacement vehicle while we will be without our van for 2 weeks at the end of October.

Thanks for praying for us, even when I have not sent out an update for a while. Thanks for your faithfulness!

For His Glory,

Mark and Leslie Boyd

We visited Paris while on vacation. It was a joy to see the kids be excited to see the sights.

The McCrocklins arrival in Munich. All their luggage made it without incident.

Simeon starting in first grade. He and his German Schultüte, a cone full of sweets and toys to make his first day of school even more exciting.
