Stephen and Evelyn Stilwell’s Prayer Letter
OCTOBER, 2022
Thank you for all your prayers last month. We were blessed as the Lord worked in hearts, some for salvation and others to serve the Lord more faithfully.
The Pastor of Alpha and Omega Baptist Church in Compin, where we were for a week with three Bible College students in September, has asked Stephen to come back in December and teach the pastors of the area from the book of Revelation. There are 12 pastors in the area, who have not had formal training, but are teaching the Word of God and serving in their churches. The plan would be to have classes in the morning and afternoon and services in the evening. The pastor says they also need more teaching on the home and in counseling. Stephen is not sure he could teach that many hours during the day and again at night. Those days of serving in the morning, again in the afternoon and evening have slipped away. He would like to get one of his sons to help him with the teaching. Thank you for your prayers for this situation.
October brings us to our 51st anniversary of the Bible College. We will be celebrating October 16 through 21 with about 500 people for the banquet on Friday night. Thursday night will be a night of music that lasts about 2 hours. Our guest speaker this year will be a BMM missionary and national from Venezuela. Since we have students from Venezuela and from Ecuador, we are looking forward to his ministry among us.
There are three sweet girls that will be graduating in December. They have had invitations to serve the Lord and desire to do that, but their parents want them to go to a university and get a profession. Please pray for these sweet girls that want to serve the LORD and have invitations where they could serve.
Construction on the large chapel at camp continues. Stephen just finished building the first truss, which will span the entire 65 foot wide auditorium, and tested it for strength. It passed the test and is huge. Please pray for safety as they get them all built, painted and put in place. We would like to have the chapel completed for the camping season that begins in January.
