Even when the world is in turmoil we know that God is still in control. I am so thankful to rest in God and in His steadfastness. He is still at work.
Covid. I am glad to report that the Covid rules are starting to loosen a bit in Germany. Nothing has changed for church, but public life is slowly becoming less limiting. This is nice as this will allow us to meet up with more people again as a family and be able to host people from church in our home.
Church. This coming Sunday we are having our first semi-annual business meeting with all the new members. We had 7 people join the church in last 5 months. Of those new members 4 are men. I am so excited to have able, teachable men in the church who want to serve. Please pray for this business meeting as I present the church with a list of all the ministries that are done in the church (from cleaning charts to preaching) and ask them to prayerfully consider asking God to move them to take ownership in the church and become involved in ministry. There is so much potential and God is at work.
TTZ. God is using our Theological Training Institute (TTZ) to train men and women in our churches. This semester we have a total enrollment of 77. I am teaching Hermeneutics in our sister church in Erlangen and have a class of 23 participants. I was told last week that one of the students used a lesson from class in Bible Study. Three ladies from our church in Neumarkt are attending Biblical Counseling in Nuremberg. It is a joy to see how the churches are blessed by our institute. Please pray for the next generation of leaders, God is at work!
Family. We have enjoyed a different pace this week as the kids had school vacation. It has been good to spend more time with the kids and to recharge our batteries.
We thank you for your faithful prayers and support. We are so blessed by your commitment to God’s work! Thank you!
For His Glory,
Mark and Leslie Boyd
Family outing to a nearby city that still has the old city wall covered. We could walk almost all the way around the city on this pathway.
