Dear Praying Friends,
the past few weekends have been full. Two weeks ago we hosted a pastor’s meeting at our church. It was a joy to see our church people serve the pastors. There has been a tremendous unity amongst the pastors. The German mission agency has been doing well and reported at the meeting the joy it has been to serve the individual churches.
The following week we had a regional youth retreat. It was a treat to see all the teens again. We had a winter retreat this past December but it was online. It is amazing to see how the teens need fellowship and it was good to see them fellowship with each other.
As of April 1st the Covid rules relaxed and we are enjoying some major freedoms. We are not required to wear masks anymore, which is a weird feeling after wearing them for almost 2 years. With the relaxed rules we are also able to have more people in our home. It has been fun to have entire families in our home again.
The kids have a two week break from school and we are enjoying spending time together. We had a diagnosis for Natalie this past week after seeing several specialists. She has juvenile arthritis. We are thankful to now finally have a treatment plan and a direction on how to help her. Please pray for her to heal up quickly. It has been encouraging to see her grow in her faith in the midst of these difficult health concerns.
This coming June we are having an evangelistic bus come again. We did this back in 2018 and had much push-back from the city. As a church we have been praying for the city to allow for this event without much trouble. Within 24 hours after I submitted the request, the city answered and said yes the bus can come. There are still some hurdles to work through. Please pray for this event and the readiness of our church for this opportunity to share the gospel.
It has also been a tremendous joy to see our church become involved in evangelism. I have been teaching on evangelism in our weekly Bible Study and how to share and answer people. Each week people give testimony how God gives them opportunity to share the gospel. There is much excitement about sharing their faith. Evangelism is caught not taught. So, please pray for Klaus, Laura, Isabella, Anna-Lena, Brigitte, Andrea – just to name a few that have heard the gospel clearly explained the past 2 weeks.
God is working and is doing great things. Thanks for your partnership with us for the gospel here in Neumarkt.
For His Glory,
Mark and Leslie Boyd
