An Amazing Three Months!

It has been just slightly over three months since I last wrote, and I cannot believe how quickly the time has flown by. They say that is how it goes when you are busy and having a good time!

Even when the church is not growing, Andrea and I are very busy in the rearing and educating of our seven children. They are growing up too fast. Last week, our eldest, Elaine, turned 14, and it is hard to believe that within 4 years she will likely be in college. Nolan, who is 12, takes great delight in the fact that he is now taller than Elaine.  Our twins, Liberty and Nehemiah, are 10 and are learning to apply their music lessons by accompanying our congregational singing in church. In the last few months, Henry (8), Peter (4), and Finley (2) have all celebrated another birthday and are growing into strong young men. Each one of our children is a great blessing. At the same time, each one requires a lot of work and guidance, and we would appreciate your prayers for them as we attempt to guide them in grace.

The church is continuing to grow! We often have over 50 people in attendance and, occasionally, we cross into the 60s. I was recently allowed to lead two people to Jesus. One was a young man and the other a seven-year-old girl. I had been praying for each of them to be saved for several years and to see that happen is thrilling! At the beginning of October, I had the privilege of baptizing five. Two of my children (Liberty and Henry) were in that group, and it was special for me personally to have that opportunity. Just this last week, we invited five more people into our church membership as well.(Download a new family photo here)
A couple of things to praise and pray about:
We have now been at the VFW hall for a whole year! After moving around as much as we have, that is a huge blessing. The space is large enough for us to continue to grow, and we would like to be there for many years to come. Please pray that, whether we rent or own, God would continue to establish us at this location.
We have a lot of young families at our church right now! It also gives us the ability to have a thriving children’s ministry. We are planning on doing a Christmas program with the kids on the 17th of December. We will be sending out a mailing soon to invite our neighbors to that, and we would love to have a good showing!
Please also pray for Eddie! He is the one who allows us to meet at the VFW. He needs to be saved!
