To Our “Prayer Force,”

Â

Last weekend was an epic highlight of Nancy’s & my lives, as we gave away our (4th) daughter. Chelsea & Brandon’s wedding was absolutely charming; they’re now in Ireland. Of course we loved seeing family & friends!

Â

For months, we prayed that God would be glorified throughout the wedding. And God sovereignly orchestrated opportunities for us to share the Gospel: 1) After the rehearsal dinner, I talked extensively to KEYNES (who was Chelsea’s phenom violin teacher & who masterfully played his violin at Chelsea’s wedding) & his daughter, EViE – who casually remarked, “I wish that I could attend a gay wedding.” That led to an extended conversation about how she’s pansexual, about her friend who thinks he’s a girl in a boy’s body, etc. Because Keynes rejected the Gospel that he heard from his parents, he doesn’t know how to answer his – 11-year-old – daughter’s “identity” questions. 2) One of Chelsea’s bridesmaids brought her unsaved friend, DERRiCK, to Chelsea’s wedding. The next day, one of our sons-in-law shared the Gospel with Derrick!

Â

Throughout this past school year, I’ve asked you to pray for (unsaved) JOSH. Josh has attended Bible studies, visited our church when I’ve preached, sat with us at our literature table, traded a basketball teammate for me (which wasn’t a trade up), etc. Interestingly, a couple days ago, the minister at the United Methodist Church in Boulder called me & asked if I thought Josh would be a good summer intern. Please pray that Josh will acknowledge the inferiority of the social gospel to the Biblical Gospel.

Â

Tonight, we’ll resume our English class followed by our Bible study – attended by: KiM & MARAN (from Korea), ANDRES & JACKiE (from Colombia), JAiR (Mexico), FABiANA & TiTi (Chile), FANG FANG, CAROLE, CRYSTAL, JACKiE & RiCHARD (China) & ANHAR (a Muslim from Jordan).

Â

We’re also continuing to teach the Bible to MIJI & her 2 kids, KYUNGA & her 2 kids & JUN (all from Korea). Nancy also teaches the Bible to YING (from China) & her 3 kids; and they frequently attend church with us! Ying was saved a year & a half ago, & she’s burdened for her husband, LEON, to come to know the Lord. Nancy is also hoping to teach “Intro to the Bible” to some ESL (English as a Second Language) students who are curious about the Bible.

Enjoying the Journey,
