To be Absent from the Body…
Dear partners,
While writing our last prayer letter, I was on my way to be with my dying sister, hoping to talk with her about the Lord. As I write this new communication, I am once again heading to New England, since my sis, Linda, is now given just three to five days to live. In the interval between the two visits, as an answer to our prayers, Linda has confirmed her trust in the Lord as her Savior —so thankful. Please pray for ministry to grieving family members. While in the Boston area, I will also have the awesome privilege of speaking at the International Baptist Church of Boston—our home church.
Our stewardship goal of ministering to 10 Civilizations in 10 Strategic Cities to build 10 Discipleship Centers is moving ever forward, making progress, becoming a bit exciting. The Lord is moving ahead of us, directing with a firm hand. We now have at least six gospel-centered meetings a week, (and the number is growing), several have received Christ, and a baptism has taken place. Deb and I conducted a series of church meetings concerning the ministry of evangelism and the church, and we have two more of these in the near future. Our fall and winter schedule is sprinkled with very good networking opportunities. In March of next year, we have the incredible opportunity to teach Christians, within a dominant Muslim culture, principles of evangelism and church planting on both an institute and graduate level.
Since I last wrote, I have been to Boston and New Hampshire to visit my sister and the IBC, to Arizona to help my brother move to Iowa, to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter with the participants of one of the ‘old guys studies’, and am now on my way back to NE.
The organization of InterGlo Ministries continues to form with 10 board members from Massachusetts, New York, Wisconsin, Iowa, and California. Our board is made up of men and women, folks from China and the USA, each with a different skill set which will strengthen the ministry of InterGlo Ministries. InterGlo is not yet fully operational, so our support continues to be managed through Baptist Mid-Missions.
