To Our Prayer Partners,

Â

Thank you so much for praying! We’re enjoying our summer, as our sovereign God continues to open doors for us to take the “eternal Gospel to every nation and tribe and language and people” (Rev. 14:6).

Â

Several years ago, we met YU DU. He attended many of our socials; we played a lot of ping pong together; he attended our church, etc. A year later, Yu Du graciously hosted my friend & me in Beijing. Several weeks ago, Yu Du texted me & said that he was studying at NCAR again. So I called him & asked him if he would want a ride to church. And he replied, “Yes, & can you also bring 2 of my PhD students?” After church, they came to our home for dinner. Then, a couple weeks ago, a Chinese lady & her husband invited her parents & Yu Du & his students to our church again, as well as to their home afterwards. [See pic below.]

Â

Nancy is continuing to teach the Bible to MIJI & her 2 kids, KYUNGA & her 2 kids & JUN (all from Korea). Nancy is also teaching the Bible to YING (from China) & her 3 kids.

Â

In our last Prayer Letter, we talked about our English class …Bible study [“Jesus’ 7 Audacious ‘I AM’ Claims”] … & dinner. Those who attend include: KiM & MARAN (from Korea), ANDRES & JACKY (from Colombia), JAiR (Mexico), FABiANA & TiTi (Chile), FANG FANG, CAROLE, CRYSTAL, JACKiE & RiCHARD (China) & ANHAR (a Muslim from Jordan). Maran recently told us that she’s a Christian, but her husband doesn’t want her to be religious. Titi told us that she had been a Catholic – until the news about the predator priests broke. Anhar told us: “Any religion is good, so long as it helps a person be a good person.” Of course, we kindly replied that a person needs to have his sins forgiven, which is only possible by believing in Jesus…. The last 2 Friday nights, WiLLiE & his wife, RUTH, (from Bolivia) have also begun attending our Bible study.

Â

Yesterday, we went to The Denver Art Museum & the Colorado State Capitol Building with ANDRES & KUMIKO [see pic below]. Andres, who is pursuing a Masters degree, asked me about buying a house. I showed him Prov. 24:27–“Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.” While looking at a pic of a cathedral, Kumiko (who is from Japan & is a Muslim) asked Nancy, “What’s the difference between Catholic & Protestant?” Nancy then quoted Eph. 2:8,9 & explained the Gospel!

Â

On July 22nd, our students want to hike at Eldorado Canyon. And on August 16th, we’re planning to visit The Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
