An Update from the Hoffs
January 2024

Dear Praying Friends,
Among the reasons for rejoicing as we enter 2024 are…
 Three men have registered for the CBM Sampler. We will
visit five CBM mission churches in five days in June 2024.
Please pray for God to use this experience to direct their
steps in life and ministry.
 The financial response to CBM’s Year End Appeal has been
generous and encouraging!
 We enjoyed being together with Joelle & Ariel, Eric & Jessica, and their families
for Christmas again this year. (We had to add an additional peg to our mantle
to hang a Christmas stocking for Estelle, who was born in August, balancing the
count at three granddaughters and three grandsons.)
 Although one of our personal supporters must decrease support for us, another
is able to resume support. We are grateful for the people and churches God uses
to meet our needs.
Your prayers are appreciated for our ministry in general and specifically for Joanne’s
eyes. Cataract surgery on her right eye in early November seems to have exacerbated a
pre-existing condition called Fuch’s Dystrophy. A second surgery on January 9 will
address that issue. (When healing is complete for right eye, the left eye will need the
same procedures.) In the meantime, these vision issues add extra challenges to the tasks
Joanne performs for CBM.

Thank you for praying. God is good, all the
time!
