Grace Home Update

As you may know, both Grace and Kim have continued to face health issues that affect their energy and physical stability. Despite these challenges, their dedication to the children remains unwavering, and they continue to provide love and support in difficult circumstances.

The children are growing so quickly, and several have now entered young adulthood. It’s inspiring to see their resilience as they navigate the challenges that come with their circumstances. However, the ongoing political and social unrest in Myanmar still makes it clear that our care is needed now more than ever.

We humbly ask for your prayers for the people of Myanmar, that they may experience peace and the freedom to live without the threat of military drafts or personal harm. Our hope and prayer for the children and families of Myanmar is that they may continue to grow in safety, education, and faith. We envision a future where they can live freely and prosper, with opportunities to thrive.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for Grace, Kim and the children. Your love and prayer are making a meaningful difference.

One of the children in the Grace home, Orchid, loves to take pictures. Below are some of her pictures put together by Grace on her computer. We thought we would share their creativeness with you.

Coming Soon to Northwest Indiana:

The “HOPE HUB”!

We’re thrilled to share our exciting new project that has the potential to transform lives in our Northwest Indiana community.

The Hope Hub, located at 354 West Street, Valparaiso, Indiana, is more than just a building—it’s a vision to strengthen families, empower parents, and provide children with a safe, nurturing environment to grow and thrive.

While many of the families we serve have immediate needs for food, supplies, and shelter, our mission goes deeper. We aim to provide lasting solutions by addressing the root challenges families face and equipping them with tools to flourish.

What the Hope Hub Will Offer

The Hope Hub is designed as a welcoming space where parents can learn, grow, and connect while their children play in a safe and enriching environment. Here’s how it will make a difference:

  • A Space for Learning: Parents will have access to over 240 courses covering topics like behavioral challenges, budgeting, childbirth, and more. Each completed course earns them “Hope Bucks,” which they can use to purchase toys, furniture, diapers, snacks, and supplies for their families.
  • Empowerment Through Earning: By using Hope Bucks, parents gain the pride of providing for their children, fostering self-esteem and resilience.
  • Building Community: The Hub will offer families opportunities to connect with others navigating similar challenges and link them to valuable community resources.
  • Gathering and Growing: From classes and support groups to special events, the Hope Hub will serve as a gathering place for families—all free of charge.

We are looking forward to the deeper prayer connection we can build with and for our families through the Hub!

How You Can Make a Difference

While we’re blessed to have the space to bring this vision to life, we can’t do it alone.

It starts with prayer. Will you pray with us for the many families we strive to come alongside through the Hub?

We’re inviting local businesses and community members to partner with us in this mission. Your support—whether through financial contributions, donations of goods or services, or volunteer hours—will bring us closer to opening the doors of the Hope Hub.

Together, we can create a space where families in our community can find hope, healing, and the support they need to thrive.

Transforming Lives in Zambia: The Impact of Care and Compassion

When we look back to the early days of our Granny Homes in Zambia, it’s hard to forget the faces of the children we met—fragile and malnourished, with visible signs of hardship. Rachel, our dedicated representative in the field, vividly recalls that first day.

“Their stomachs were sticking out from malnutrition, and their faces were so thin,” she shared. It was clear that these children were in desperate need of love, care, and nourishment.

Today, these same children now have full, healthy faces and bright, happy dispositions. They are thriving in ways we could only have dreamed of back then. What made this change possible? It’s a combination of regular meals, consistent education, and—most importantly—the care of their own families.

By equipping their own families with the resources and support they need, we’ve been able to keep children with their kin, surrounded by love. The regular care, feeding, and education have provided a foundation for hope and a future full of possibilities.

Your ongoing prayer and support help make these stories of transformation a reality. Thank you for standing with us and giving these children the chance to live healthier, happier lives. Through Christ, we are creating a brighter future—one child, one family at a time.

More Prayer Opportunities

Prison Ministry

Tracy has been teaching Trauma-Informed Training in our local county

jail’s “God Pod” program—a special group where women apply to participate

and eagerly join each week.

Through this training, Tracy is sharing God’s love, equipping these women with tools for healing, and pointing them to the ultimate Hope found in His Word.

Join us in prayer: Pray for the women to experience deep healing and transformation as they learn and grow.

Pray for Tracy, that God would give her wisdom, strength, and the words to

share His truth.

Pray for the Spirit to move powerfully, bringing hope and renewal to every

heart.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Psalm 147:3

Thank you for standing with us in prayer as God works mightily in the lives of

these women.

Transformer for The GEM Home

Imagine enduring sweltering heat or struggling to complete your schoolwork

in the dark. For the children at the GEM Home in Myanmar, this is their daily

reality. Their electricity supply is unreliable, leaving them without the basic

comforts and tools they need to thrive. We are still raising support to provide a electricity transformer for their home. Your prayers and support can help change this!

Mission Trip to Liberia, Africa

Some of our BCH staff are eagerly preparing to soon depart for Liberia, Africa! There, we will visit Gbonota village and the many families we are serving. We are looking forward to getting a thorough assessment of how BCH can best come alongside this community in the name of Jesus and support them in family-based-care.

Please pray for our travels and that we can accomplish much in the time we are there.

As we lift up these needs and praises, I am reminded of the power of community and the strength found in prayer. Thank you for partnering with us in prayer.

Sincerely,

Craig Freyenberger
