InterGlo Ministries

“for a wide door for effective service has opened to me,”
1 Corinthians 16:9a

Dear Friends,
We began last month’s prayer letter in this way,

  • “Deb and I have decided not to travel internationally this year, opting instead to focus on establishing the InterGlo Ministry in the Greenville, SC area, building our online ministry, solidifying the InterGlo Ministries organization, and stabilizing our monthly financial support.”

This was necessary to say, but saying it made my heart sad. The privilege of joining our Savior in the building of His church, globally, is a privilege, indeed. It seemed our ability to do so would be limited for the next year. However, we serve an awesome God whose plans are above our plans and are immensely more strategic and exceedingly more effective. To explain what has happened, I included a note sent to a co-laborer recently.

  •  Let me tell you what your support is accomplishing. Just yesterday, we received a call from Kurdistan, the semi-autonomous region of Iraq. I have been asked to teach six online courses to advanced students (I said yes!). This diploma program (Evangelism, Church Planting and Mission) is the third of three levels of degrees offered at the Hope Bible Institute in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan. This Bible Institute is being considered by the authorities of Kurdistan to be the sole Bible Institute for training Christian ministers there. Kurdistan is a Western-friendly, Islamic culture country, which is key to ministering the Great Commission in countries surrounding it. This includes Iran, Turkey and Syria. What an awesome stewardship with which God just blessed us!  Thank you, ——–, for being a team member as we join our Savior in building His global church.

Just to be clear, we have been assigned the task of organizing six courses which comprise the total curriculum for an advance diploma in Evangelism, Church Planting, and Mission at a very strategically located Bible Institute in Kurdistan/Iraq. We have the incredible (not to be believed) opportunity to join our Savior in the building of His church in a very needy area. Our wonderful, saving God is allowing our team, including the InterGlo family and the financial and prayer supporters of InterGlo Ministries, to join Him in His work of building His church, globally. We dare not miss His blessing upon us.

Here is how you can help. Firstly, pray that our God will grant good health and creative wisdom as the six courses are crafted. Secondly, you can join us financially. We will need to assign reading for each course from textbooks which will be translated into Kurdish. The first course is cared for, but funds are necessary for the translation of the other five books, one for each course. This will likely cost $4,000 per book, $20,000 total. Not that much, when you realize we will be preparing first generation Christians to church plant, who otherwise would have little opportunity to be trained.  If you feel compelled to be part of this, contact me for more information.

May God bless you,
Bill and Deb
