Dear Friends, I bring you warm greetings from Liberia, Africa, where Debby (our BCH Director of Marketing) and I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the power of hope and faith in this beautiful country. With a similar flag, government structure, and a love for personal freedoms, Liberia reflects many American ideals. Yet, the challenges here are great, especially in the Village of Gbonota. Their need for a safe place for educating their children is overwhelming. We have a lot to share with you about how we can bring much hope to Gbonota! In this special Prayer and Praise, I will share with you our visit to Liberia, the incredible ways BCH is making an impact, and how your prayers and action can impact this mission of hope. |

Gbonota Village: A Community Coming Together in Faith and Unity |
One of the most unforgettable moments of our trip was visiting Gbonota Village, where BCH is launching an incredible new project—the construction of a new school for the children of this remote community. Currently, the local school only meets twice a week, leaving many children without a solid education. But God is moving in mighty ways! BCH has partnered with a local church to build a fully functioning school, providing the children of Gbonota with a place to learn, grow, and thrive. The Land Dedication Ceremony was a powerful experience—community leaders, government officials, pastors, and villagers all came together to celebrate this new beginning. Their commitment to making this dream a reality was overwhelming. Raising funds and coordinating a build from across the ocean seems like a huge undertaking. During the ceremony, we were reminded to hold fast to Philippians 1:6- “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ,” This school is the Lord’s, we will follow His lead. Will you partner with us in prayer as we follow after him and trust his plan? |

Seeing God’s Hand at Work |
During our visit to Gbonota, we met passionate, hardworking individuals determined to change their community for the better. BCH has been serving in this village for a few years now—providing medical aid, school supplies, food distribution, teacher training, fresh drinking water, and spiritual encouragement. All of the love shown to Gbonota has made an impact. Church and school attendance is up and community involvement is increasing. Excitement is building, and the residents of the village are stepping up to build and run their own school! More families are attending church, more children are eager to learn, and more leaders are embracing the power of faith and education. This is a movement fueled by God’s love and the generosity of our BCH friends and supporters. Thank you for your continued prayers! |

Education: A Dream for Many, A Reality for Few |
During our time in Liberia, we visited three schools filled with bright and ambitious children—kids who dream of becoming doctors, engineers, and leaders. However, we learned that only 10% of these students will have the financial means or opportunity to pursue higher education.
Despite the challenges of poverty and limited resources, these schools operate with unwavering dedication. There is a resilience of the students, they are inspired to learn and become employed. And knowing the extreme poverty makes the path to education even more desperate for our children of Gbonota, we are the more inspired to work hard to make their new school a reality.
