Dawendson – Dominican Republic

Dawendson is a 10-year-old boy in our care who lives in the Dominican Republic. He came into our care because his father abandoned him. His aunt was taking care of him, but due to extreme poverty, she could not continue to do so. Dawendson is a cute boy and is doing well. He is very open and likes to share. He enjoys riding bikes for fun. Dawendson is very good at school. He wants to be a teacher and a pastor someday.

Building a Place Where Hope Grows

In Northwest Indiana, we continue to actively minister to families in crisis through our Care Families, who open their homes and hearts to children whose parents need a helping hand.

Through our Bright Course training program, we offer life-changing parenting classes that empower moms and dads with wisdom, grace, and practical tools — all built on the truth of God’s Word. Lives are being strengthened, families are being preserved, and hope is being restored, one heart at a time!
And there’s even more exciting news…

We are hard at work renovating our building to create a welcoming space called The Hope Hub. Freshly painted walls, a brand-new floor, and a vision of community and care are coming to life before our eyes!

The Hope Hub will be a place where families not only receive tangible resources to help them through difficult times — food, clothing, household items — but where they also experience the life-giving hope of relationships, encouragement, and the love of Christ.

 

Every brushstroke, every nail hammered, and every floorboard laid down is a step toward changing lives for His glory!

We are truly excited to see these physical changes in our office, but even more excited to imagine the spiritual changes that will happen within these walls. Families will walk in weary — and walk out with renewed strength and hope.

We are making progress in the Hope Hub!

A Joyful Blessing at Grace Home

Before the earthquake, we had sent funds to our Grace Home for a special purpose — guitars for worship and books to inspire young readers. Despite everything going on around them, these gifts arrived just after the earthquake, reminding the children that God sees and cares for them personally.

The children are overjoyed! The children in Grace’s home love to sing. They are already eager to learn worship songs on their new guitars, filling their home with praises to the Lord. And their love for reading has blossomed even more with the new books they received.
