We are so thankful for your prayers for us. We are humbled to know that so many of you pray for us so faithfully and regularly. May God bless you for your prayers and investment in our ministry and lives in Neumarkt, Germany.
TTZ. I started a new institute semester at our church here in Neumarkt. I am teaching on the doctrine of man and sin this time around. It truly is a joy to have 14 students from 6 different churches attending class. Please continue to pray for all of the students we teach. In the process of switching our old administrative software to a new product we learned that over the past 15 years we had 303 individual students take 126 classes. Our institute continues to grow and we will have another graduation in June. God is good!
Homiletics. A few weeks ago, after a missions trip a young man in our church came up to me and asked what the class homiletics was and if he could take it. When I told him that he will be expected to preach a sermon by the end of it, he hesitated for a bit and then with a great big smile, said ok, can we do that class together. Tonight is the first session with him. I look forward to teaching him how to prepare a sermon. Please pray for B as he learns how and for God to create in him a heart for ministry.
Coworker. At the end of March, our church was excited to welcome back our BMM coworker Crystal Buegel who was on medical leave for the last 18 months. Her health is well enough to allow her to return to ministry here in Germany. She plans to transition to a sister work in Ingelheim by the end of April. Please pray for our church as they say goodbye to her and for her to adjust to her new ministry.
Easter. The Easter season is a great time to talk to friends and family about the gospel. We have several Easter tracts with invitations to our services. Please pray for our people as they interact about why Easter is so important. As a church we will have an Easter breakfast and a celebration service.
The week after Easter we head to a BMM conference for spiritual refreshment with the French BMM missionaries in southern Germany. Please pray for safety and our hearts to be encouraged.
Upcoming ministries. The next few months there is much to prepare for and to pray over. In May I will be speaking in Vienna, Austria one Sunday. I will be officiating a wedding of a couple in our church another weekend. We have a couple visiting from the USA about ministry interest in Germany. At the end of May is our bus evangelism with a special evangelistic service on May 30th. In June Leslie and I will both be speaking at a church retreat for the church in Nuremberg. Alongside our regular weekly ministries we have lots of fun other activities to get ready for. Thanks for praying for these events to be used of the Lord.
We are so thankful for your participation in our ministry here in Germany. Thanks!
