Dear Praying Friends,

The month of May is turning out to be a very full month. We are excited to see how God will bless and give increase.

May-Day. The first of May is a fellowship day of all the churches in Bavaria. It was such a joy to gather with 380+ other believers in Ingolstadt this year. We had several from our church attend for the first time and they walked away so encouraged and motivated. They understood for the first time that we are not alone in our faith and practice. They were blown away by the genuine care and love those in attendance had for each other.

TTZ. A second semester started for the Neumarkt chapter of our institute (TTZ). I am teaching on the doctrine of man and sin. I have 14 students, of which 6 are from other churches including all the way from Vienna, Austria. It is exciting to see the institute expand and the desire of those taking classes to learn what God’s word says.

Homiletics. One of the young men in our church asked me to teach him how to preach (homiletics) and I meet with him weekly to teach him how to prepare a sermon. We end up spending a lot of time in discipleship and I answer his ministry related questions. Please pray for this young man as he will be married in 2 weeks and as he seeks to do ministry with his soon to be wife.

Wedding. On May 24 I have the joy of marrying two young adults from our church. There are still many details that need to be figured out and organized, but the couple have invited 180 guests. Most of them are unsaved and the couple wants the gospel to be preached and explained why God is central to their marriage. Please pray for the planning and for those who will be there to understand the gospel message.

Evangelism. Two days after the wedding we have a three day evangelistic bus ministry in our downtown area. As a church we are excited about the opportunity to share the gospel again through this evangelistic tool. Please join us in prayer for God to do 3 things:

  1. that our hearts are prepared for whatever conversations and or opposition happens.
  2. the hearts of those we talk to, to be prepared to hear the gospel.
  3. for those serving to have such a harmonious spirit, “that by it all men may know that we are his disciples.

On the Friday (May 30th) after the bus ministry we plan to have an evangelistic meeting. We plan to hand out invitation to this special meeting. Please pray for many to come.

Family. We are excited to have Natalie back home with us for the summer. She completed her first year at Faith Baptist Bible College and will add another year in the fall. But in the meantime we are looking forward to doing ministry with her again while she is home. Joshua continues to work on his nursing degree. Continue to pray for boldness as he witnesses in the classroom and at work. The rest of the kids are busy in school (which goes till July 31st). Lillian and Miriam are enjoying the warmer weather and that opens up doors for us to talk to our neighbors again.

Visitors. We will also be hosting a number of visitors from the USA in the next month. Please pray as we invest in these visitors and talk to them about the ministry here in Germany. Please pray for God to raise up more laborers for His work.

We are so thankful for your partnership in prayer and financial. We could not do the work here in Germany without your commitment to His work! Thank you for praying for our endurance and strength. We are genuinely thankful for each one of you!

For His Glory,

Mark and Leslie Boyd

At the May-Day of fellowship we took time to pray together. It was amazing to pray with 380+ people all at the same time.

On May 4th, we had the joy of serving a sister church in Vienna, Austria. Mark preached in the morning service. It was such a joy to serve this growing and thriving church. It was especially fun for Mark to get to know some of the parents of the teens he knows from teen camp.
Here we are visiting a castle/government building in Vienna.

Invitation to the special evangelistic meeting on Friday. Please pray as many guests at the bus will be given this invite.
