FURLOUGH REPORT

“And when they arrived and gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. And they remained no little time with the disciples.” (Acts 14:27-28 ESV)

We are grateful for the Lord’s blessings as we’ve traveled to share an update with each of the churches that support the ministry in which we serve, and we only have two more churches to visit. Time passes quickly! Here are some of the highlights of the last several months:

Renewing friendships with our supporting churches. We’re encouraged by your faithfulness, and it’s been great to meet many new people and several new pastors.
We shared in a missions conference last weekend at Brookdale Baptist in Moorhead, MN, and we enjoyed serving alongside others with more experience in ministry and preaching in Spanish.

Each of our supporting churches is at a different stage of ministry, but they all share a common desire to see God at work despite the challenges. May God bless you as you “shine as lights in the world” (Phil. 2:15).

ACCREDITATION PROCESS

We helped in a small way in getting everything ready for the bid of the Colombia Baptist Seminary for an initial accreditation. Please pray over the next three weeks, as we are waiting to see what the government will say. This accreditation would be useful for our current students and also in order to attract new students.

CHURCH BUILDING PROGRAM

Our church in Colombia continues to pray for God’s provision for the purchase of a building. Several churches are planning on giving towards this project, so we encourage you to pray about this project:

CULTURE

Colombia held mid-term elections on Sunday, and the major cities voted against the left, electing mayors that represent a clear rejection of President Petro’s agenda. Please pray that the institutions of Colombia hold steadfast, and that the gospel would continue to advance.

KIDS’ CORNER

The boys have enjoyed playing pickleball with me and their older brother Lucas. We took pleasure in the fall colors of last week’s session!
