Stephen and Evelyn Stilwell’s prayer letter

Thank you for praying for the different ministries here in Peru.
Camp: We have been having problems with the windmill. It is usually something trivial but takes time and energy for four men to raise the tubes, find the problem and then fix it. That takes time away from advancing on other projects. The wind comes in about 11:30 a.m. and pumps water all afternoon. The campers look forward, after the activities of the afternoon, to the cool showers as they get ready for the evening service. Please pray the windmill works to save us money from using the electric pump that is more expensive.
We had to cut down some trees that were leaning over in the small woods. We cut the logs down the middle to make benches for the camp fire times in a clearing in the center of the woods. That saves the fellows from carrying benches from the chapel to the camp fires and then back to the chapel. The rest of the wood is used up for fire wood.
Work continues on developing the soccer field and another well and windmill for water for the soccer field. Remember we live in a desert with one inch of rain a year. So, we trust two wells will keep the soccer field green. The grass will have to be planted by hand, as well.
Peru Baptist Bible College: Five new married couples came to the college this year. That made our married student housing burst at the seams. So, there was a lot of scrambling trying to find a place for each family to live. We had one new single girl come to enter the second year. There is a great group preparing to come to the seminary next year. Pray for them as they finish their preparations. We are praying for 27 new students for 2027.
This week the students and several of the professors have gone to different churches in Peru to minister. It is a little too much for us to go any more and keep up with the activities of the week preaching each night and evangelizing and/or counseling during the day.
Property for a new church: We thank you for your support. We were able to buy property for another new church here in Truillo. Pray for them as they grow and do the construction.
Thank you for your prayers for us. We are doing well and thank the Lord for the good health.
