PRAYER NEEDED

We have seen God answering some prayers in a special way. I would love to see more people receiving our weekly prayer team update and praying for us. If you are willing to commit to praying for us each week, please visit the following link to sign up: http://eepurl.com/cVpiIL

That said, we continue to need prayer for our future. As I mentioned in our last letter, we are on the verge of launching several new projects that will probably determine our future in Colombia. The Fundación de Estudios Bíblicos Alfa y Omega [The Alpha and Omega Foundation of Biblical Studies] is now a reality on paper. Please pray that Jacobis, Alfredo and I could move ahead with this project. Our goal is to begin offering classes in January or February of 2018.

Jacobis and I have a trip, as representatives of Alfa y Omega, to Apartadó, Colombia from October 20-23. We will be teaching on the Reformation and also orienting a group of believers on how they could begin a local church. Apartadó is about 12 hours from Santa Marta, near Panama. Please pray for safety and that God would guide us in helping these believers. I will be flying to Medellín tomorrow afternoon in order to teach an intensive course (17 hrs. in three days) on expository preaching. Please pray that God would use this class in the local churches in Medellín.
We have received a number of comments and questions about the church building project here in Santa Marta. We continue to pray that God, if it is his will, would provide for this project. You can give directly towards this ABWE project, using project account number  0742081 (Impacto Biblico Baptist Church Colombia) at ABWE or go directly to the following link on ABWE’s website:

Pastor Alfredo made contact with some Venezuelans last month, and we’ve had a chance to minister to over 20 of them. Their country is suffering tremendously, so thousands of Venezuelans have fled to Colombia. Please pray for this group and for their country. The majority of those who have been attending are not believers.

The Pope is currently in Colombia. The excitement about his visit is saddening. Pray for the salvation of Colombians!

Lucas and Eliana had an excellent trip to the U.S. in July. Lucas only has one more year of high school here. Eliana started 9th grade, Marcos 3rd and Jason 1st in our home school. Please pray for their school year and for God’s work in their lives.
Yours for Colombia,
Jonathan, Holly, Lucas, Eliana, Marcos and Jason Boyd
