To Our Prayer Force,

Even though I’m not old enough to drink coffee, I’m thankful for Starbucks. That’s b/c our literature table is providentially located across from Starbucks (inside the Student Center). As the pop culture, iConsumer students stand in line for their caffeine fix, they read the fliers on the front of our table: “Ask your religious questions here;” “Free ride to church;” “Bible discussions on Wednesdays.” But those are a subset of the 33,000 harassed, helpless & shepherdless students (Matt. 9:36) who walk past our table on their way to the bookstore; They are also seeing, “Don’t forget the most important book” (along w/ a tall stack of Bibles).

B/c I wouldn’t EVER want to be wordy in a Prayer Letter (ha), I’ll only rehearse how our Divine Conductor orchestrated yesterday: At 9:30, we taught English at CU Family Housing to several International Students. At Noon we prayed w/ staff at International Crossroads.

After that, b/c it was the time of a Muslim feast, Nancy made a care package (comprised of an Arabic Bible, a scarf & some homemade cookies) to give to AISHA (from Libya). During their discussion, Aisha providentially brought up “Abraham.” And b/c at (this) Eid-al-Adha feast Muslims sacrifice a lamb, Nancy asked Aisha if she would like to read Genesis 22 – where Abraham offered a ram, rather than his son. After Aisha read the passage, Nancy showed Aisha John 1:29, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” In that there are so few Libyans who are Christians, our burden for Aisha’s salvation is even greater!

After meeting w/ Aisha, Nancy had a Bible Study w/ WEI, a neurologist who became a Christian last Easter & who beams w/ enthusiasm when Nancy explains the Bible. While teaching, Nancy met Wei’s unsaved teenage son, ANDY, who listened in on much of the Bible Study.

In the meantime I was preparing for the Bible Study that the Chinese Church asked me to lead. Once again, a dozen unsaved students participated, some of them hearing the Gospel for the first time – including LISA whose son Nancy has been helping w/ English. (A week ago they invited us, along w/ 3 of their friends, for dinner.) After Bible Study, we ate w/ 30 Chinese, & I talked to YI who attended our church & Bible Study 1 time. His wife, CHINGWA, is a young Christian & brought several unsaved students to our Bible Studies; But she returned to China last week.

After that, I went to the CU Connection to watch, along w/ a hundred other vidiots, CU 3-peat Colorado State U in football. When I came home, Nancy & I prayed together, thanking the Lord for giving us a delightful day!

Enjoying the Journey,
