Greetings, praying friends!

Â

Autumn 2021 was unlike any other in our lives and ministry. Joanne and I were apart for much of October, November, and the first part of December; I was in Wisconsin caring for my mother while Joanne was home in Michigan. We are grateful that a place opened up in a nice assisted living facility for Mom, where she moved in early December.  The loss of my dad in October and a move to an unfamiliar place two months later has been a lot of upheaval in her life, so your prayers for her would be appreciated. We plan to visit her next week.

During the time that I was in Wisconsin I was able to care for most of my ministry tasks remotely. In addition to communication with our church planters, I have also been involved with the CBM board’s strategic committee as they pursue God’s leading for the future.  We are enthused about what God has in store for CBM.

Shortly after returning home in mid-December I had the privilege of participating in “CBM Sunday” at the church where we are members. Dallas Putnam, Director CBM Building Ministries (& also a member of First Baptist Church of Howard City, MI) and I presented the past and present work of CBM, as well as the biblical foundation for what we do. We’d welcome the opportunity to give the same presentation in other local churches.

  • Opportunities to present the ministry of CBM in local churches
  • Participants for the 2022 CBM Sampler (we have not yet heard from any potential participants)
  • God’s leading for the CBM Strategic Committee
  • Enduring fruit through the ministry of CBM mission churches

God is good, all the time!
