Happy New Year!

The Lord has allowed us all to begin a new year to follow, honor and serve Him.  He continues to give us opportunities to counsel individuals.  We are both scheduled to teach again in the seminary, that begins a new year March 7.

God has permitted us to have our regular camp retreats in person this new year.  The camp ground has not been used much during the past two years due to COVID restrictions.  We are in the process of getting it ready for the first retreat, which begins this Wednesday, January 5.  The national pastor, who is president of the camp committee, has gotten together a group of, primarily pastors, to go with me tomorrow to help get things in order and do some cleaning.  There is a retreat scheduled for each week of our summer until the classes begin in the seminary.  I am scheduled to teach one class each morning and preach each evening at the family retreat the second week in January.

The Lord just gave us an enjoyable time with four of the five children He has given us.  Stephen Daniel and his family, that are in Huaraz, came down for several days last week.  Two days we were all together for a great time of fellowship.  Both David and Jonathan have ministries that make it very difficult to continue as Senior Pastors.  David has been elected as President of the seminary, and Jonathan is Field Administrator of Baptist Mid-Missions for all Spanish speaking Latin America.  Both of their churches are seeking the Lord’s will in finding new pastors.  Martha continues serving in one of our daughter churches, as well as, at camp and in the seminary.

Thank you in advance for praying for these ministries in Peru and for wisdom, health and strength for this old couple as we continue to strive to share God’s Word with others in this new year.
