March 2022

Our camp season is finished.  We did have some problems with COVID the first two weeks.  The enemy tried to discourage us and get us off track, but the LORD had greater things for us.  We felt the hardships toward camp more than ever before.  It seems like we always have difficulty in getting the camp up and started each year, but this year was worse with attacks on our pastors and counselors.  Thank you for all your prayers.  The Lord had great things in store for our camp season.  We finished with 130 at our ladies retreat and 150 youth at the second youth retreat.  We had to use several tents and it rained in our dessert that never has rain.  During this camp season the Lord blessed in a special way.  Several of our campers made life changing decisions, and we trust the Holy Spirit will keep their decisions before their hearts and eyes as they follow the Lord each day.  Many of them are in the universities, where they will find challenges to be shining lights for Christ.

As we write this letter, we are starting our first semester at the Peru Baptist Bible College.  We are both teaching.  Thank you for your prayers for health and strength for each day.  We have a special prayer request.  As some of you know, we have had students from Ecuador for several years.  Most of them have gone back to Ecuador to serve the Lord.  Ecuador is a country of spiritual needs for clear gospel preaching churches and pastors.  As of now the students have three-month visas only and will have to return to Ecuador after the three months.  Please pray that this can be solved in an honest way with the border, so the students can continue to study and finish their years of preparation.

Next month we will give you more information about the SBP (Seminario Bautista del Peru).
