To Our Prayer Force,

Â

Thank you so much for praying, as God is answering your prayers! For example, in previous Prayer Letters, we’ve asked you to pray that some students would talk to us at our literature table – a second  time. Well, several weeks ago, AHMED stopped by our literature table & kindly argued for Islam. I kindly asked (my “jugular” questions): “We agree that the Koran wasn’t written until approximately A.D. 620 (when Mohammad lived). Why did Allah wait thousands of years before He (finally) gave humans an authoritative, reliable Holy Book that Allah wouldn’t allow to be corrupted? (Similarly), why did Allah wait thousands of years before He (finally) told us: 1) Abraham’s son of promise was Ishmael, not Isaac; 2) Allah doesn’t have a Son; 2) Jesus didn’t die on the cross, etc.?” Ahmed admitted, “I don’t know how to answer your questions.”

Â

A couple weeks later, Ahmed stopped by again & asked for a Bible. I also gave him an overview of the Bible, explained the Trinity, etc. A couple weeks ago, I invited him to visit our church, &, providentially, his sister, IPTAHOL, had come from Saudi Arabia to celebrate Ahmed’s graduation. So Ahmed asked if he could bring his sister to our church. Well, 11 days ago, they visited. (See pic.) (That was the first time they had ever been in a church service.) After the Christ/Gospel-centered service, Iptahol told Nancy that, before she visited, she was very nervous, because she was afraid that she would be “rejected.” But many of our church members loved on them. And Ahmed told us, “Your church is like a family.” I’m sure that Ahmed is counting the cost as, in a few weeks, he will return to his family in Saudi Arabia (home to Mecca which is the birthplace of Muhammad & Islam – & the destination of millions of Muslims who make their annual Hajj/pilgrimage). If Ahmed were to convert to Christianity, he would undoubtedly experience serious persecution!

Â

Over the past few years, we’ve asked you to pray for the salvation of EPHON (from China). When he was in high school, he was a very bad student. But when he came to the U.S., he began to study hard, &, last week, he graduated from CU. But he also recently accepted a full-ride scholarship to Harvard U – to pursue a PhD in physics. He’s fully aware that the odds of him going to Harvard were miniscule & acknowledges that it could be because God is being very kind to him. (“God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance” – Rom. 2:4.) A couple weeks ago, he brought his girlfriend, ARIA, & his roommate, HOWCHEN, to our Chinese Bible study. They, along with RAY, CAROLE & JB attend; they’re all unsaved.

Â

On Easter Sunday, YUFEi & CiCi & their daughter, LiLY, (from China) visited our church (which was the first time they had ever visited a church). Every week, we discuss our “That You May Believe” [John Studies]. Last night, they told us that they’re planning to visit our church again this Sunday – & then take us to a Chinese restaurant. Please pray for their salvation.

Enjoying the Journey,

P.S. In April, we sent you a Prayer Letter via our new email address: ttomnancy@gmail.com. However, some of you may have received it in your Spam. So please make sure that our future letters don’t end up in your Spam. We’re still able to send this email from our tomnancy@colorado.edu address. But we think that address won’t work much longer.
