Reaching Latinos for Christ |
Dear Prayer Partner,                                               Lucila called the police because her ex-husband Jose (from El Salvador-saved in 2018) took his children, Isabel and Samuel, “to church on Easter Sundayâ€. Lucila stated that she does not want her children influenced by a religion other than Catholic. Isabel (13) started crying, stating that she doesn’t like that her mom forces her to go to catechism, that she realized the error of worshiping Mary, that only Jesus intercedes for her and that she plans on getting baptized soon at our church (she was saved May 2019). The Police told Jose that he can take his children to whatever church he attends. Jose had brought them faithfully for two years but lately Lucila hadn’t allowed them to go.  Pray God will soften her heart and realize her need for a Savior. Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; Did you pray for Jonathan (16)?  We’ve got good news!  He made a profession of faith 3 weeks after the accident (mentioned in March update) and hasn’t missed youth group ever since! Thanks for praying!  Another praise: 8 were baptized at Hope Baptist Church (our church) and also Alfredo finally came to church!  His wife and 3 kids (21, 16 and 11) have been faithful for two years and he finally came to watch them be baptized; he then had a good chat with Dario during the refreshment time.  Praise the Lord our neighbors Jhon and Patricia (Colombia) have come twice to church now. Pray for Jhon, Patricia and Alfredo’s salvation. Big request: Pray for us as we will be canvassing the area around the church this summer; lots of prep and training our church members also. Thank the Lord, Sophia and Michelle successfully finished their year at Bob Jones University and are traveling by car May 12-13 from SC to TX; Pray for safe travels. David and Cynthia are finishing up school also. Pray for their finals. David is graduating from High School and will be having a celebration with many invited to our home June 4th; many unsaved. Pray we will be a testimony and pray for David as he prepares for college at BJU! Pray for our family’s health in general, thank you!  Of course, we cannot forget this big announcement: Michelle got engaged to Josiah! They plan on having a 2024 summer wedding; both graduate from BJU next year. We are happy for them and ask that you Pray God lead them in their future together.
