| Alanna is a shy young girl from the Dominican Republic. She enjoys eating chicken, rice, and chocolate—especially chocolate ice cream. She loves to color, play with her friends, and attend church. Her favorite color is red.
Alanna lives in one of BCH’s foster homes. Her father passed away, and her mother struggles to find employment. Like many Haitian refugees in the Dominican Republic, her mother has no legal documentation. This means she cannot work, and Alanna cannot attend school. Life is very difficult for families in this situation. |
