A Ministry Update from the Hoffs
October 2025
- Chris & Jeanie Brown—the veteran missionary couple with skills and experience in business and accounting mentioned in our last update—were approved by the CBM board in June. Chris is the new CBM Business Manager and Jeanie is working as an office assistant.
- The “CBM Missionary Development Team”, made up of three veteran missionaries, joined me on this year’s CBM Sampler, June 1-5. The men on this team were a great encouragement to the four missionary couples that we visited on the field.
- Good News Baptist Church of Sioux City, Iowa is marking their 30th year of ministry this year. I was able to join them on July 20th for a joy-filled day of celebration. (You can read more about the occasion here: https://www.garbc.org/news/church-news/30th-anniversary-in-sioux-city-iowa/)
- Berean Baptist Church of Watertown, Connecticut, and Iglesia Bautista de Comerio, Puerto Rico, graduated recently. In both cases, the CBM church planters handed off the pastoral ministry to men who had served alongside them for several years.
- Last month I had the privilege of giving an update to a church that faithfully supports CBM and presenting the ministry of CBM to another church. I will be displaying CBM at two additional conferences yet this month and reporting to a supporting church.
Thank you for praying. God is good, all the time!
