To Our Praying Friends, December 2025
According to the renowned French scientist & philosopher, Blasé Pascal, “The incarnation shows man
the greatness of his wretchedness through the greatness of the remedy required!”
Nancy & I are enjoying how our sovereign God is orchestrating this school year. Some salient reasons
include:
Four months ago, God saved FiNLEY! And he’s attending our church & our Friday night Bible study!
Recently, Finley asked us for 5 of our [Jesus is the] “Bridge” tracts; he’s, specifically, planning to give a
tract to his twin sister, AiNSLEY.
In our previous Prayer Letter, we asked you to pray for TAREQ (from Saudi Arabia). On several
occasions, he has sat down beside us at our literature table, & we’ve shared the Gospel. Talking to
Muslims helped prepare me to speak on “Islam” (a few weeks ago) at Faith Baptist Bible College. A
week later, 3 Muslims providentially sat down at a table near me in the CU dining center, & I was able to
“practice what I had preached” by asking them: “Did the millions of people who lived before the Koran
was written (in A.D. 600) have an authoritative, reliable Holy Book?” (Muslims believe that the Bible has
been corrupted.) SULEMAN admitted, “That’s a really good question.” Of course, I kindly argued:
“Those millions did have an authoritative, reliable Holy Book, namely, the Bible.” I also proactively talked
about Jesus’ Sonship, death & resurrection (all of which Muslims reject).
Later in the semester, 8 students who are majoring in Philosophy interviewed & videoed me, asking
about the “paradox” of God being all good, & yet there’s evil in the world. I talked about how Adam &
Eve, & we, vicariously, ate the forbidden fruit. “So it’s not God’s fault that there’s evil in the world; it’s
our/my fault. Moreover, God knew that, in order for our sins to be forgiven, His only Son would have to
die an ignominious death on a cross…”.
A couple weeks ago, ED talked to us at our lit table & argued against: Creationism, God wiping out
everyone but Noah’s family, slavery, prophecies, etc. He also said that he has read the Bible, the Koran,
the Book of Mormon; i.e., he has tried his “darndest” to know the truth. (As I’ve challenged many
others), I encouraged him to pray while walking to class, “God, if you exist, please help me know you.”
Impressively, Ed stood there at our lit table & silently prayed for 30 seconds! Providentially, Ed lives only
a few miles from our church, so I invited him to our church!
Yesterday, CAMDEN, (who finished 2nd in State wrestling last spring), talked to us at our lit table. Soon
into our discourse, his roll-your-own worldview fell apart like gas station toilet paper. For example, after
he consoled himself with, “If God were to exist, I’ll be okay on Judgment Day, because I’ve sincerely
tried to know God” – I warned him: “The Bible says that God has given us more than enough evidence
that He exists by ‘the things that have been made; so [we] are without excuse…’” (Rom. 1:20).
Throughout this semester, Nancy has reached out to many ladies from all over the world. For example,
just before Thanksgiving, Nancy shared: “Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift” (Jesus!) (2 Cor.
9:15) – with MASiMA & TUBA (from Afghanistan), NATZiRA (Nicaragua), TiTi (Colombia) & YUKARi
(Japan)! These first couple of Mondays of December, Nancy is teaching the Christmas story to her
English class. Those who attended this past Monday were: JOHANA (from Nicaragua), TUBA
(Afghanistan), GALiNA (Russia), LiYiNG (China) & REA (Japan). Rea told Nancy that she wants to
know about Jesus!
At Senior basketball, RALPH (who is Jewish) & I were providentially sitting on a bench, I initiated: 1)
God will “bless”/“curse” those who bless/curse Israel (Gen. 12:3; cf. Gal. 3:14); 2) When nations are
gathered against Jerusalem, the Messiah will fight against them; & His feet will split the Mt. of Olives
(Zech. 14); 3) Israel was “broken off” the Olive Tree, but, if Israel believes, she will be naturally “grafted
in” (Rom. 11); 4) “no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark” (Rev. 13:17).
Re. our family. We have 9, rather, 11 grandchildren. That’s because Chelsea is pregnant with twins – a
boy & a girl! Nancy’s mom has multiple health issues. My 95-year-old dad is continuing to preach on
Sunday mornings at his Care Center.
THANK YOU for your fervent prayers & generous financial support! We trust that you will glorify the Lord
Jesus throughout this season!
