Reaching Latinos for Christ

Dear Prayer Partner,         Â

The most interesting thing happened today during the church service. While the two of us were leading music as a couple this morning, Violeta, walked in: a visitor from Milan, Italy. For those who don’t remember, Dario’s dad is a Pastor in northern Italy. So she caught our attention because she was italian and we normally don’t have italians show up at our Spanish-speaking services.

Long story short, she said she was a single mother of three children but we saw multiple red flags, including realizing that we both knew more Italian than Violeta did. We came to the conclusion that she is a conartist and believe she is from Romania. Although she claimed to be alone and without anybody to help her; there was a man waiting in a vehicle the whole hour and a half that she was with us and she lived 1.5 hr away from our church. Even though this lady planned on scamming our church, God meant it for good because she ended up hearing the Gospel clearly that morning, we prayed with her, gave her gospel tracts to read at home (had a Bible at home) and we invited her to come back with her family any Sunday. We did give her some gas money and some homemade tamales made by one of the ladies in the church. You never know what a Sunday will bring!

Praise the Lord we’ve met more Latinos! One of our favorite ministries ever is EVANGELISM!! We really do enjoy the excitement of getting out there and not knowing who we will meet that day and what opportunities God will give us to share the gospel with those He has waiting for someone to just tell them about the HOPE they can have in Christ! Continue to pray as we do evangelism in both English and Spanish, door to door; pray as we meet new contacts weekly. We challenge you to do the same!

Pray for the upcoming Easter event, men’s meeting and ladies meeting that are scheduled; that lives will be changed! The devil doesn’t like what’s happening here; so, he will not leave us alone! Continue to pray for Talitha, Michelle and Cynthia’s health.  On Christ the solid Rock we stand!

“This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast” Hebrews 6:19

There are some photos below from Evangelism yesterday and today’s “Italian/Romanian” visitor.

Once again some of our projects include soccer balls, Spanish Bibles and gospel tracts.
