But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Title - Back to School Begins

For many of our international children, a new school year begins as early as June. As classrooms fill back up and students prepare for another year of learning, we invite you to join us in prayer.

Please pray that each child grows in wisdom, knowledge, and faith. Pray that they would discover God’s calling on their lives and experience a successful school year. Ask God to provide for every need and to keep them safe as they travel to and from school. Some children walk long distances each day, while others ride bicycles to reach their classrooms.

Pray also for the dedicated houseparents and teachers who invest daily in the lives of these children. Their encouragement, guidance, and Christ-centered care help create an environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

As you pray, watch your mailbox in July for our annual Back-to-School Campaign. Our houseparents work hard to stretch every dollar, carefully preserving textbooks and supplies so they can be passed down year after year. Even so, costs such as tuition, required uniforms, and shoes remain a significant need.

You can help set children up for success in the coming school year. Your gift will help provide the supplies they need.

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ…” Ephesians 2:4-5

Across every area of the BCH ministry, one thread connects all that we do: the hope of the Gospel. Whether serving families through direct care, offering prayer and encouragement, providing administrative support, or meeting practical needs behind the scenes, we are grateful for opportunities to share the hope we have found in Christ.

Coming alongside families in crisis means more than offering help—it means pointing to the Savior who meets us in our own needs every day. We often find ourselves reflecting on two powerful words: “But God.” (Romans 5:8, 6:23, Ephesians 2:4-5)

When circumstances seem overwhelming, relationships are broken, resources are scarce, or hope feels distant, God intervenes with His grace, mercy, and faithfulness.

Our dependence on our Heavenly Father is not merely something we teach; it is something we strive to live. As we trust Him to guide, provide, and sustain us, families see a practical picture of the Gospel in action. Through imperfect people relying on a perfect Savior, we pray that every act of service becomes an arrow pointing toward the One who rescues, restores, and redeems. Our deepest desire is that children and families would experience not only practical support, but the life-changing love of Christ, whose sacrifice makes true hope possible.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Ephesians 6:23
