Dear Praying Friends,
School starts tomorrow (September 16), so I wanted to include an update on the kids:
Natalie is a Sophomore at Faith Baptist Bible College and is working on completing her bachelor. She has a full class schedule and is helping plan the missions conference. She had an arthritis flare up but it is under control again with a new medication.
Joshua is in his second year of nursing school. He loves working with people and helping them. He is enjoying learning how amazing God has created the human body. He also turns 18 next month.
Sophia is going into 10th grade. She is taking French and Spanish and loves it. She is truly a studious student and loves school. She is also enjoying her violin lessons.
Adelin is going into 9th grade. Last year she was the student representant and had many opportunities to share Christ. She desires to continue to build upon those contacts. She also excels at playing the guitar.
Tobias is going into 6th grade. He is still in an all boy school and has faced those challenges well. Please pray for him to remain faithful.
Simeon is going into 4th grade. Fourth grade is a challenging year in German schooling. They do lots of tests by Christmas to get a median grade for the year that determines what school level he is allowed to go into for 5th grade. Please pray for him to do well and not get overwhelmed.
Lillian is starting first grade. She is very excited and nervous for school. Please pray for her as she starts school.
Miriam is still at home. She mentioned today “mom, with Lillian at school you can play with me all day!” Please pray for her as she adjusts to the new normal being the only one at home.
TTZ. Our institute also starts up again this week. Over the summer we upgraded several things. We overhauled the complete website and setup a registrars service. It is a huge advantage for the students. There is a learning curve for the teachers. Please pray for the start of the new semester. I will be teaching Theology – the doctrine of God. Currently I already have 18 students. For this semester we have almost 60 students taking 4 classes. We are very pleased with the participation from many of our sister churches.
Church. Attendance has been down this summer as many people were traveling. This week our regular church ministries start back up again. Over the summer months I have been involved in 2 crisis counseling situations that has resulted in regular counseling meetings. I am thankful for God’s working in the lives of these individuals. Please pray for a willingness to have God change their hearts. I still am meeting with a young man for homiletics, and have started a evangelistic Bible study with 2 unsaved individuals. Please pray for these individuals to be saved! K&M still need salvation also.
Vacation. During August we were in the Alps and were amazed at the beauty and God’s amazing creation. It was refreshing and a great time bonding as a family. (images below)
There are many exciting things coming our way in the next month. Hosting the regional pastors meetings, church planting conference, quick furlough trip at the end of October, and meeting with people who desire to live a changed life.
Thanks for praying for us!
For His Glory,
Mark and Leslie Boyd
