Scripture
3 John 5 Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; 6 and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 7 For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. 8 Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth. Comment: I am so thankful to be heading out for the Name in March. I hope you can join me in prayer and, as God enables, as a financial partner.
The Lord willing, I will leave for Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan (Iraq), on March 17 and return on April 1. My responsibility includes teaching the final of the six courses required to graduate from the Evangelism, Church Planting, and Mission advanced program at the Bible Institute in Suly.
A second blessed responsibility is to attend the graduation of the two students. These have already passed through two of the three levels offered at the institute. They are seasoned and resolved to remain faithful to the Lord’s calling.
This is an important achievement because Kurdistan is surrounded by countries that desperately need passionate, prepared church planters.
While there, I have two more objectives: 1) Assess the need for another series of courses for new students. 2) I hope to engage not-yet believers in the coffee shop that belongs to the ministry.
I thought the cost would be around $10,000.00, but I was mistaken. Airline tickets, board and lodging, travel insurance, and miscellaneous expenses will cost about $15,000.00. The potential is to participate in a church-planting movement in a very strategic area of the world. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Check out the map.
